Learn the 6/8 African Parts
Below are the main 5 parts used in 6/8 rhythms. Some are easier, some are harder, but I teach them all one hit at a time, so you can pick them up quickly and easily.
Basically, that just means that these parts are all counted in groups of 3s, instead 4s, like most of the stuff in western music. So when you hear these basic parts being played at a circle, you will know how to join in, with your repertoire from Robert!
